When Jesus finds us, He receives us just as we are and will make us satisfied in Him. Yet, His love is so big that He can’t leave us the same. He helps us see our sin for what it is and calls us higher. This spurs us on to greater as we make Him our life.

We do all sorts of things to satisfy our weary and thirsty souls. However, we realize that our souls can only truly be satisfied in knowing and being loved by God. There’s nothing on this earth that we could find in this world like Jesus, everything else is just a counterfeit lookalike.

There is something so beautiful about God’s sovereignty and His divine timing. The Lord chases us down and until we are His and orchestrates our lives in a way in which we encounter Him at the perfect moment.

If the cross happened without a resurrection, it would be a sad story. Yet, because the resurrection took place, all access to all of everything good in heaven is available for the believer. When you think about it, it’s nonsense, it’s insane to think that the God of the universe would take our punishment upon Himself and pay all our debt, our sin, simply because He loves us. Yet, Jesus paid it all and I don’t have to worry that my debt is paid and I’m granted access into the Kingdom. That’s why Easter is a lifestyle, not an event.

As Christians, one of our aims is to be like Jesus. Our Heavenly Father gave us Jesus, our savior. And Jesus was so generous with His life that He endured the cross and counted it JOY for our sake. When it comes to the giving of our resources, we should joyfully release it, even when it hurts. The Lord LOVES and is PLEASED with a cheerful giver!

As believers, we should regularly look inward and examine ourselves. People examine and check their jobs, organizations, health, resources, and status of everything else. Yet, why do we check on our soul last, the very entity that will live forever.

Life can be hard and we ALL HAVE ISSUES. Sometimes there are things that happen we can’t control … But what if instead of being bitter, we saw these difficulties as opportunities? Don’t despise your shortcomings; rather rest in the fact that God will use them.  Often, God doesn’t fix our problems; rather He uses our problem to fix us. God is more interested in the man being right than the circumstance being right and when that happens, God uses it miraculously!

Embers in a fire die quickly if separated. If close together, they jointly preserve the heat. Christians in authentic community add strength to the church, the community, and the city. The fire of the ember that goes on its own will quickly lose its heat.
